Laura,

Thank you for your response to my inquiry. You have made many useful suggestions to further my research on Isaac PUGH.
Laura I checked the Chambers County guardianship records from Chambers County, Alabama at the family history library. They have microfilm copies of all the courthouse records. Someone, I believe Marilea Hagness researched the records of that county, copied them and wrote a book. I checked the book and there is no mention of the PUGH surname in any of the records. I was so very sure that I would find something.
Isaac’s widow applied for his pension in Marion County, AL and Itawamba County, MS. The same date for Isaac’s death was used in both instances. I have the original records from both state agencies.
Another researcher has checked the Williamson records thoroughly and come up empty. We have looked for the PUGH surname along the way and found nothing.
Thank you again Laura for your response to my inquiry.
Nancy
