If you live in the State of Alabama,go to your local court house/family judge/county attorney. The same laws should be the same in all counties in the state.

Last I heard the court house in Clay Co. burned in the 1800's and only a very small part of the courthouse, according to one of the men who fought the fire. If you are related request the papers under the freedom of information act.
