I'm so glad that I got a response on this line of the Hudgins Family. I've been putting small pieces of this puzzle together for a while.

This weekend, I did some census records research at the Birmingham Library and found a couple of entries that I thought might have been William and Mary Melissa. The first was Clay County, 1900, which listed William Robertson, his wife "Melissie", and two sons: Loomis and Jay (perhaps James Johnson). Is this one correct? The second was Clay County, 1910, with William M. and Mary M. What year did they move to Texas?

I'd love to hear more about this line.

Eric
