Betty. I tried to email you personally but it was returned. Please email me and I will give you the address of the person who typed the 1870 Clay Census.
As for the Turner family: I did not find Simon in the 1860 Randolph nor the 1870 Clay
but I did find him in the 1880 Clay co. I also found a mrs. nancy Turner in 1850 Randolph with a son, Simeon, age 15. This is most likely the one you are asking about even though he is listed as being 15 yrs. when we know it should have been 20 yrs.
Here's what I found in the Union Beat. The
Viola you mentioned is listed as Friola in 1880 but this is T.J's sister as you will see.
