Thanks Chuck for your reply and the offer of additional Bradley info. However, I have the McFadyen line and thus would only need that which pertains to Daniel and Virginia and to their descendants.
Daniel F. McFadyen was born in Dale Co. AL in 1859, the youngest of four sons of Colin McFadyen, an immigrant from Islay, Scotland, and wife Catherine McDonald. In 1860 the family moved to Clarke County.
Colin died there in 1867. Sons John and Hugh were not enumerated in 1870 so it is likely that they also died in Clarke County during this time. However, Catherine and sons Daniel and Dougald were enumerated in Clarke County living with her father, Hugh McDonald.
By 1880 she had married A. J. Lane andthe family was living in Texas where they were enumerated in Falls County. Dougald and Daniel both returned to Clarke County in that decade.
Dougald married Mary A. McLean in Clarke County in 1885 but chose to go back to Texas and Falls County. He resided there until his death between 1910 and 1920.
Daniel F. McFadyen evidently died in Clarke County between1910 and 1920 but the place of burial is unknown. Virginia was living in Jackson in 1930 with son Joel and his two children. It is likely that they are buried in that area. Any help with grave location would be appreciated.
Thanks again,
Edward King
