Will of Joshua English, 1838, Clark Co AL
Posted by: Beverly Shipley (ID *****6738) Date: October 31, 2003 at 11:37:15
  of 653

For anyone who is interested I am posting my transcription of this will. Of course, I have a question, too! The last paragraph says that the will was presented to the orphans court of Clarke Co AL. Is this telling me that Joshua's sister, Harriett Singleton, was deceased at the time of his death? I have the index to probate records and it references pages for Joshua and Harriett in Book B, which is the orphans court, but I can't make any sense of the page numbers. They don't coincide with what is in the index for some reason. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Bev Shipley
