Kevin, I have the same question about what records support the 1810 list. From one source there is an 1817 AL Territory (Cl, Mn, Wsh, MB, Bld, C) with the same names for my Morgans as on the 1810 Cherokee Co., AL (Cherokee Lands) list. There was a note indicating the 1817 list was a petitioner's list. The same names are also on the 1819 Cherokee Co., AL (Cherokee Lands) list. I also found an 1813 Taxable Property list for Clarke Co., AL. Since only one of the Morgan names matches from 1813 to 1810, it makes it even more important to find where the 1810 list came from.
On one of the Morgans I've researched there is a land record from "Old Cahaba Land Office Records & Military Warrants 1817-1853" which shows Catherine Morgan of Clarke Co., AL receiving land in 1831. Catherine Morgan appears on 1830 & 1840 Monroe Co., AL census.
Hopefully someone will be able to help explain what the 1810 list is. If you find the info through another source please post as a reply to your query here.
Good luck with your research.
