Milton Johnson & Margaret Jowers 1868

I have found a record of marriage for who I believe to be my GGGGrandparents. Milton Johnson & Margaret Jowers were married in Choctaw Corners, Alabama in 1868. They had at least on child which would be my GGGrandmother, Emma Virginia Johnson who married Dave Bell and also lived in the Choctaw Corners area. I have found Milton and Margaret listed on the 1870 census in Choctaw Corner living in Sarah Davis' household who was abt 65 at the time. They lived between Tobe Johnson (who may be Milton Johnson's father) and Maria Jowers (who is old enough to be Margaret's mother). I don't know if I shoud assume that their neighbors are related although it appears very likely. I am asking for help from anyone who might have any information on the Jowers and the Johnsons living in that area. I am not quite sure of my next step to attempt to trace beyond 1870. I welcome any information &/or advice. Thanks.
