The Sterling area of Cherokee county is going from Cedar Bluff toward the Georgia state line along HWY 9. Part of the area dips down and extends all the way to the river/lake to the south. I do not find either person in the cemetery records for Cherokee county, but they could still be buried here (possibly in unmarked graves) or since it is so close to Georgia, they may be buried there. The cemeteries in that area are
Callan cemetery
Demaris-Lawrence
Lawrence
McCoy
Hardman
Salem
and Waterhouse
Hope this helps
John
