Hello, My name is Gayle Brock. I am doing research on My daughters fathers side of the family. I am in hopes of being able to piece together his family tree and my family tree. Any information that you might have, would be appreciated.
I am looking for anything that you might know about Ellen Ophelia Bolin Brock. She was born August 25, 1924 in Alabama. As far as her parents go, not much is known. History has it that Ellen's dad's name is Erskin Bolin. I do not know the name of her mother. When Ellen was around 13 years old (this would have made the year around 1937) her mom and dad both died. Her mother first and then her father about 3 months later. They both died in Alabama. Ellen live with her aunt Beulah B. Greenway (in we believe Harrisburg Arkansas). Beulah had 2 sons Howard and Logan Greenway and 2 daughters Ruby Greenway Brock and Pauline Greenway Walker. In the clipping of her death, it mentions that she reared her niece Ellen O. Brock. Beulah was laid to rest at Bolivar Cemetery in Harrisburg Arkansas. Beulah has one sister named Louise Davis of Leighton Alabama. Beulah's d.o.b. is 12/28/06. We do not know if Beulah is Ellen's mom's sister or her dad's sister. Ellen has a brother named Lehman Bolin and is said to live somewhere in Alabama and a sister named Louise Wallace of Detroit MI. Ellen married around the age of 16 Jessie Earnest Brock. The year of the marriage is Feb. 15, 1940 in the state of Arkansas. This is pretty much of the Bolin part that is known.
