In 1850 Hatchet Creek Coosa County Census Simeon and Peyton Allen was
listed in the household of Elijah Allen. Simeon was 22 born in Ga and
Peyton age 20 born in Alabama. I have the following information on
Simeon:
Simeon F Allen born in abt 1830 probably in Coweta Co, Ga married Mary E
Kirby Born 18360, daughter of Lewis Kirby in Jackson Co Al July 10,
1853.
The had the following children:
Joseph M Allen
John F Allen
Eliza Caroline Allen
Robert W Allen
Mary Alice Allen
Simeon was listed in 1860 and 1870 census as living on "Big Coon Creek"
Jackson Co Al.
He served in 1st Al Ind Vidette Calvery from 1863 to 1864 under the
command of Capt George F Allen.
Sometimes right after the 1870 census Simeon and Mary with family
traveled to Ark where Mary died and Simeon and children returned to
settle in Macon Co Al. The may have stopped in Coveington Co for a short
time. Simeon remarried in Macon Co in 1871 to Mary Jane Daughtery. They
had the following children:
George Allen
Paul Allen
Katie Allen died at age 12
Jessie Allen.
Simeon died in Macon Co, Al near Shorter Al.
John F Allen married Mary F Allen from Chilton Co
Joseph M Allen married Alice Lenora Dupriest from Tallapoosa Co.
Eliza Caroline Allen married Charles C Barber probably in Jackson Co.
Mary Alice Allen married Robert Daughtery from Shorter Al.
George F Allen is kin but I don't know how yet .
These Allen's had relatives in Cherokee County
