My information is that William Graves was married to Hulda Everett and she died and he left their son Jefferson Davis Graves with her family in Cherokee county Alabama. I have seen a census record showing Jefferson Davis Graves in the houshold of an Everett in Cherokee county but I no longer have any of this information in my possesion. Any information on this line would be appreciated. My interest is in the Graves line but any info on who Hulda's parents were would be appreciated. If anyone has the death dates or any other information on any of the children of Jefferson Davis Graves I would appreciate that info also. I have recently acquired the names of all of the Children of Jefferson Davis Graves and Eliza Ann Nance. They are as follows: Olian Delian (Delia) Graves 1883 Cherokee Co. Gilbreath b.4 feb 1903 d.20 Aug 1990 The marriage ended in divorce. Audrey prayed for divorce on the grounds of Physical Cruelty and my grandfather pled no contest to the charges and the divorce was granted. Now the stories on our side of the family is that he came home early one day and caught her in bed with another man and took a horse whip to him and her. Well I can't condone domestic violence but in those days he would have walked away scott free if he had shot them both because she was his "property" and he could have killed them and gotten away with it and all he did was horse whip them I think for those days he kept his cool. I also have a problem with adultry which was what she was doing so I think the best thing that could have happened did happen they got a divorce. Spouse #3 for William Clinton Graves: Zora Molly Elizabeth Blackwell b.28 May 1915 Blount Mountain, Blount? Etowah?, County, Alabama d.12 Jan 1979 in Birmingham, Jefferson, Alabama Cause of death: Complications from a surgical procedure for Carcinoma of the Vulva.(In plain english the treatment for cancer at that time was butchering up a person and running them through radiation treatments and make them miserable enough that the family welcomed their death as a blessing. She bled to death when the femoral artery collapsed due to the strain put on it because of the gaping hole in her leg from the removal of the Lymph Nodes in the bend of her leg.)She was with her daughter when she died. Children: Jessie Mae Graves m. Thomas Busby Whittaker on 21 Apr 1961 and they had one child Pallas Athena Whittaker born 21 Jan 1962.
