Here is what I know concerning the microfilmed records of Cherokee County, AL. Everything from 1882 to sometime in the 1950s (except for some circuit court records) has been microfilmed and the microfilms are available at the library. I'm not sure about the 1960s but I think some of those records have also been microfilmed. To my knowledge, nothing after 1970 has been microfilmed. During the last round of microfilming by the LDS church, older estate records, marriages from 1930s and some other various records were microfilmed and the originals are now housed at the library. The library also has an index of all these records in the genealogy department.
