I was wondering if you knew who was buried in a cemetery that is close to Ballplay in old Kershaw quarters close to the Coosa river. It is Etowah county now, but wasn't when these people were buried. It is on a hill and my grandmother said it was a negro graveyard, only two of the graves have markers at all. I would like to know who these people were, as there seems to be no record of their existence. there are about twenty five graves, but only two are marked with old stones and no writing. I don't think anyone has been out there in fifty years. Do you know who these people might've been? My Uncle Gid Kershaw bought the land around 1910.
