Mike, will get back to you on other family members in Cherokee Co, AL, but saw a post that might be of interest to you in your seach for family in Cherokee Co. AL. On Feb. 20, 2000, John Awbrey mentioned that a plat book for Cherokee Co. exists that had the original land entries. When the courthouse burned, residents were asked to re-record their deeds.
