Sorry for not replying sooner. I looked in the Cherokee county cemetery records and Abel Roberts is not listed. I also looked in some obituary indexes. There are no Cherokee county newspapers that exist for that period, but I checked the Gadsden Times, but no luck. However I did find where Abel Robert's estate was settled in probate court in 1885. I havent looked in the actual file yet to see what is in there. Do you need a copy of that?
