I finally finished Cruising Through the Coosa River News Volume 1: 1882-1894 and just picked it up from the printers. The book also has a section of Cherokee county newspapers from the Civil War period and prior. The book is 285 pages plus a full name index. I have a softcover edition for $20 and a hardcover edition for $30. Postage for either is $3.80. Books can be purchased at the Cherokee County Library in Centre, AL or by mail by sending check or money order to John C. Awbrey, 2673 Rexford Street, Hokes Bluff, AL 35903.
