I am researching the family of William Lilborn WATSON and his wife Palestine ADAMS of Etowah co. and Cherokee co. AL. William was born in Georgia but moved to Alabama before the 1870 census where he is found in Cherokee co.:

WATSON, W. L., 24, M, W, farmer, born GA
- Mary P., 22, F, W, house keeper, Ala
- Mary G, 2, F, W, Ala
- William F, baby, M, W, Ala

In the 1880 census, we find the family in Etowah co. AL:

WATSON, William, 34, M, W, Farmer, born Georgia, father born SC, mother born TN
- Palestine, 32, F, W, keeping house, born Tenn, mother and father born NC
- Marey J., 12, F, W, born Ala
- Wiley T., 10, M, W, born Ala
- Jeffe P., 8, M, W, born Ala
- Charlsey, 6, F, W, born Ala
- Tuloolar, 5, F, W, born Ala
- Walter J, 2, M, W, born Ala
- Znah, 1, F, W, born Ala

There is a land record for a William L. WATSON, dated December 10 1885, for 119 acres in Huntsville, Etowah, AL.

There is an obituary in Etowah co. AL for a Miss Noley WATSON, daughter of W.L. WATSON, died on April 12 1892 at Lay Springs. I'm not sure if Noley is one of the daughters listed in the censuses or if she was born later.

William and Palestine's son Oscar Newton WATSON (born October 1880) married Una Leora BLACKWELL on January 12 1896. Their daughters were Myrtle, Eschol, Deira, and Lois. Oscar and Una divorced about 1905. Oscar moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee where he was killed after falling from a scaffolding while painting a building in 1908. Una had meantime remarried to Julius D. Rooks and had several sons with him.

Is there anyone else researching this family?
