I'm searching for any descendants of or researchers of the following family. (I'm from Collinsville, AL for local folks). Thanks!

Riley O? M? Mattox b. 1818 in GA. On Jan. 7, 1846 he married in Carroll cty, GA a Mariah Hill b. 1816 in GA. They appear in the 1850 Troup Cty, GA census and possibly in the 1853 Carroll Cty, GA tax digest ("Rila Mattox"). They moved to Calhoun Cty, AL between 1855-58 and were in the 1860 Calhoun Cty, census. Riley and James Monroe Mattox served in Company B of Hardies' Battalion in the Civil War. The family moved to Cherokee Cty, Alabama before 1870. Both Riley and Mariah died in 1899 and are buried in Hardeman Cemetery near Farill, AL (near the Floyd Cty, GA -- Cherokee Cty, AL line). Per the 1880 Cherokee cty, AL census Riley's parents were born in South Carolina.

1. James Monroe Mattox (my direct ancestor) b. Oct. 1846 in AL (per 1850 GA census & later records), d. about 1906-1910 in Morgan Cty, AL. He married Mary Jane Campbell (b. June 12, 1851 AL, d. Feb. 14, 1896) in July 1874. He married Anna or Joahnna Edwards (b. June 1871) in Morgan Cty, AL in 1897 (no known children).
Children of James Monroe Mattox and Mary Jane Campbell:
1. John Thomas Mattox b. Mar. 20, 1876 Cherokee Cty, AL d. May 3, 1958 Dekalb Cty, AL.
2. James Luther (Jerry) Mattox b. Oct. 14, 1881 Cherokee Cty, AL d. Apr. 2, 1968 Dekalb Cty, AL.
3. Arthur Napoleon Mattox b. Jan 10, 1882 Cherokee Cty, AL d. Mar. 28, 1968 Dekalb Cty, AL.
4. Mary Magdaline Mattox b. Mar. 1892 Cherokee Cty, AL d. Feb. 23, 1985 Dekalb Cty, AL
5. William Calhoun Mattox (my ancestor) b. Feb. 14, 1896 Dekalb Cty, AL d. May 21, 1960 Dekalb Cty, AL.

2. Mariah Elizabeth Mattox b. about 1848 GA. d. after 1900 probably in Cherokee Cty, AL.

3. Melvina Mattox b. about 1849 GA.

4. Georgiann Mattox b. about 1852 GA.

5. John Q. A. (Quincy Adams?) Mattox b. about 1855 GA or AL.
-- I have read one internet post from someone claiming that a John Quincy Mattox born in GA (apparently the same timeframe) walked to Mississippi when he was young. This John Q.A. Mattox disappears after the 1870 Cherokee cty, AL census.

6. Riley A. Mattox b. about 1856 GA or AL.

7. Margaret C. Mattox b. about 1858 AL.
