I, too, descend from Lindsey Peek. I may have spoken with you before...not sure. In a book written in the mid 1960's, Mrs. Sybil Wood McRay indicates that Lindsey Peek and Esther Rebecca Maddox are most likely buried at Providence Cemetery in Forney...beside and between Rachel Peek Tucker Rosenthal and Malachi K. Peek. I will mention that there is room for them there!!! It appears that at the time of Lindsey's death in June 1889, they were living in Floyd Co. GA. Providence Cemetery is, of course, closer to Floyd Co. than Hebron Cemetery...but only by a few miles. On a side note, are you aware of any pictures of the siblings of Malachi K. (?Karr?) Peek? I have one of Rachel and Zachariah...and maybe Jeremiah. The ones of Zach and Jeremiah, however, are of poor quality. I would love to have better copies...and maybe one of Malachi and Edward J. Peek. Edward J.(?Jefferson?) Peek, by the way, is buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery...I think. The dates are somewhat suspect...but I believe that it was just a "little" slip-up when the tombstone was put down. What about Malachi’s sisters...do you know if they made the trip over to Cherokke Co. AL? Please feel free to write me at mtucker51@yahoo.com about these or other Peek/Maddox related issues. I would REALLY like to close in on our Maddox linage.
