Searching for information regarding Elijah STAFFORD, who was born circa 1816 in North Carolina. He married Nancy WRIGHT, also of North Carolina, and they were living in Cherokee Co., Alabama in the 1850 and 1860 censuses.

I descend from their daughter, Narcissa Carolina Stafford, born March 20 1846 and died July 3 1926. She married James Easterland SMITH, a Confederate soldier; I descend from their daughter, Mary Jane SMITH.
