Richard.....reason I asked about you ancestor was because when I searched Google for "Southern Military School" I got http://www.couchgenweb.com/civilwar/23rdcoe.html and found Black, Erastus L., Maj. who had attended the military school in Fredonia. But, you already have all that info.

I note that Black, George F., Sgt. enlisted same day as Erastus.....brother?
