I show an Augustus W. Kirby b. about 1818, son of Richard and Lovicey Kirby of Spartanburg Co. I understand he married twice 1) Sarah before 1845 and 2)Vashti Davis after 1860. That seems to fit your people. In chasing down my own James Kirby (who may be a brother to your Augustus/Augustin), I have obtained data for A.W. in Benton/Calhoun Co. census 1850, 1860 and 1880. 1860 he is living near my ancestor James Marion Smith who married James Kirby's daughter Susan. I'd love to add more about Augustus to my Kirby database and can also tell you more about the Kirby line. Please e-mail me at "patorren@gulftel.com". Pat
