Funeral Is Held For R. J Massey

Funeral services of Rollin Judson Massey, 63, retired farmer of Wellington, who died of a self-inflected bullet wound yesterday, were held today at 3:30 o'clock at the Alexandria Baptist Church with the Rev. E V Wafford officiating. Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Massey was found dead in his garden shorterly before noon yesterday.

He apparently shot himself with a sawed-off .22 caliber rifle, Coroner Bowie Jones reported. His wife found him in the garden when she went to get him to come to lunch.
He had been in ill health for the past two years, his family stated. He is survived by his wife, Msr. R. J Massey; five sone, Judson, Monroe, Fred and Jimmy all of Wellington and William Massey of Sylacauga: three brothers C E Massey of Oxford, F I Massey of Wellington and J B Massey of Alexandria and three sisters, Mrs. E G Haygood of Oxford, Mrs. C H Brown of Birmingham, and Mrs. J D Clem of Birmingham.
Pallbearers were: Paul Bean, F J Little, HE and J G Saxon. L J Brooks. O B Curvin and R. C Casey.
