Garland Gilchrist marr Nancy Jones 14 Jul 1849 per St Clair Co AL book of marriages - 1818-1899. Nancy b ca1833, dau of William Jones and Amelia Sheffield. Garland and Nancy had at least 2 children - Emily and John. He Left Nancy and children and went to TX. Nancy then married Caswell Battles on 2 Mar 1861.
