James Coleman of Anson County, NC who Migrated to Butler County, Alabama
Posted by: Steven Bailey (ID *****7945) Date: August 27, 2008 at 09:31:53

Anson County, NC Deed Book X page 524 - March 17, 1830 - James Coleman of Butler County, Alabama for & in consideration of the natural love & affection which he bears to his beloved daughter Elizabeth C. Smith, of Anson County, NC & the further consideration of fifty cents I give & grant unto Elizabeth one negro girl named Easter to her own proper use forever separate & distinct from any claim of her husband in any way whatever or any liability for his debt, the plain understanding of this instrument.

Is there a Will or estate papers for James Coleman in Butler County as well as land records & also a cemetery listing for this Coleman family would be nice to know.

Thanks,
Steve Bailey, Wadesboro, Anson County, NC
