Seeking info. on the family of Felix & Rachel "Peavy" Brooks, who lived in Butler Co., Alabama, as early as 1850. Felix Brooks was born 1807 in S.C., and died before 1850 Census. Rachel lived until 1898, she had seven children by Felix. And one son was George Brooks, born abt. 1847, and died in 1901. On the 1900 Census of Monroe Co., Alabama was a George F. Brooks, born Nov. 1847 in Ala.! His wife was Martha Emily, maiden name unknown! They had 3 known living children living with them on the 1900 Census. They were George G., Minnie Lee, Eugene E. Brooks! I'm sure this Eugene was Eugene Elbie Brooks, born Mar. 7, 1883, and died Feb. 17, 1972 in Penscola, Flordia. He married Flora Almedie Coleman Oct. 11, 1909 in Monroeville, Monroe Co., Alabama. They had five known children, one son was James Lamar Brooks! Anyone working on this Brooks line, please contact me at
