Wallace, Rhodes, Wilhelm

My Father's parents were:

LEVI WALLACE, b. 1829/Butler Co., AL - d. 1910/Crenshaw Co., AL.

m. 1849/Taylor Co., GA to:

NANCY JANE RHODES (1829/Butler Co., AL-1910/Crenshaw Co., GA)

Parents of LEVI WALLACE were:

Seaborn A. Wallace(1790/SC-1897/GA)

married 1823/Butler Co., AL to:

Senea Harrison (1805/GA-1880/Ga)

Their other children were:
Caroline Wallace (Tansy); John Henry Wallace (m. Mary Cathryn Routon); William Marion Wallace (m. Mary Susannah Montgomery); George Wllace (m. martha A. Heaton); Senea Amanda Wallace (Heaton); Barbara Ellen Wallace (Hinson); Mary A. Rebecca Wallace; Martha P. Wallace (Cates); Fanny Wallace (Harrison).

LEVI WALLACE and NANCY JANE RHODES had children named:

George NEWTON Wallace; William Robert Wallace; HILLARY SEABORN Wallace; Perry (Calvin) Wallace; Thomas Edward Wallace; Benjamin ("Ben) Lee Wallace; and EMMA ELLEN ("PINK") ELLEN WALLACE.

EMMA ELLEN ("PINK") WALLACE m. NEWTON RILEY WILHELM. They were my grandparents.

I have run across the names NEWTON, SEABORN, HILLARY, PINK, and EMMA in both the Wallace and Wilhelm lines.

I am searching for the parents of NANCY JANE RHODES, wife of LEVI WALLACE.

The only clue I have is the Mother of NANCY JANE RHODES was listed on an 1830 AL. CENSUS as living with them. HER NAME WAS AMA. SHE WAS 53 YEARS OF AGE AND B. IN GA.

LEVI WALLACE was listed as LEVI WILLIS, Butler Co., p. 240, Beat No. ?

However his wife, and first son,(NEWTON RILEY WILHELM) are listed correctly as are all of their ages at the time.

I will be S0 GRATEFUL FOR ANY HELP OR CLUES! I know there was a RILEY WALLACE floating around there......and that's the first time I've seen the name RILEY anywhere except for my grandfather.

MORE than willing to share or help!!

Thanking you in advance!!

Lynn Wilhelm-Melberg
