Hi Bill,
I saw your posting from back in March at the genforum on the Barnett family in Bullock County Alabama. I don't recognize the names John Henry Barnett or Mary Hudson. However, I would be shocked if we weren't related.
My first ancestor to come into Alabama was a John Barnett who came here (from Kershaw Co., SC) around 1825 into Bullock County, his brother Michael Barnett also came into Alabama around or about the same time. They all lived in the Union Springs and Post Oak areas.
Can you supply any other information on John Henry Barnett? Birthdates? Deathdates?
If this Barnett is the same line as mine I can take you back to 1675 to (another!) John Barnett (b. Londonderry Ireland) who married Jennette Powers. Their son John (sighes) married Margaret Roan. The two Johns and their wives immigrated to America after the younger John married in 1723
