To whom it may concern:

John Potter, my great grandfather, served in Company H (new), 1st Alabama Cavalry, Union, during the Civil War.

Why was Company "H" stationed in Blountsville? The "Records of Events" are blank for July and August 1865.

H Co., 1 Reg't Ala. Cav. (new)
Company muster roll for July and August 1865
Show station of Company, Blountsville, Alabama
Record of Events. (blank)
Barnes, copyist

If you have an ancestor who served in Company H (new), please reply.

Thank you for your time and any information I may receive.

Best regards,

Johnny L.T.N. Potter
