Winston C. Waid/Wade

I am researching my paternal great-grandfather, Winston C, Waid/Wade. He was the son of Isaac Hampton Waid (b:1813) and Anny (Lousiana) Cornelius Waid. They lived in Blount Co., Alabama. I have traced Winston through the 1880 census when he was married and living in Ellis Co., Texas. He and Mary had two children (Annie, my paternal grandmother) and Houston Harvey Wade. The family story is that the children were orphaned at an early age; but no one seems to know what happened to Winston or Mary Jane. I do not know where (or if) Winston was buried, but his father and mother, I believe, are buried somewhere in Blount Co.,--even though they spent their last years in Etowah Co.? Any information/leads would be greatly appreciated.
