I am researching the Barnett Family which I found in the 1870 census for Blount County. They are only listed by initials so I was wondering if anyone knew what the initials stood for? This is the transcription: 1870 AL East Half, Blount, AL J C Barnett B: 1825 LA Male age: 45 T A Barnett B: 1827 AL Female age:42 M J Barnett B: 1850 MS Female Age: 20 E M Barnett B: 1854 AR Male Age : 16 J L Barnett B: 1858 MS Male Age: 12 E L Barnett B: 1860 MS Female Age 10 J H Barnett B: 1863 MS Male Age:7 S E Barnett B: 1866 MS Female Age 4 M E Barnett B: 1868 AL Female Age:2 These may be my relatives but hard to tell due to the initials. I think this may be James C. Barnett but an earlier census said his wife's name was Phoebie. Perhaps this is a John C. Barnett? Any assistance is greatly appreciated as I have been researching this family for a long time and any breakthrough would be SO nice! Thank you, Tena Notify Administrator about this message?
