I was wondering if you could do a Bibb Co. census for me as well. I have a John B. Pittman age 37 on 1880 Jefferson,AL census married to an Elvira A. Pttman age 38. Using their children's names I have death certificates for their 2nd and 4th born children-- George E. Pitman and Adley Hogan Pittman. George's states that his birth place was Bibb Co. (about 1870). Adley's states that his birth place was Bibb. Co. as well. I have conflicting info about the John B. and Elvira A. Some info states John B. born in AL and other says TN. Info varies on Elvira A. also with some saying LA and some saying Bibb CO. Elvira's maiden name is listed as Davis on Hogan's death certificate. However, it lists her as Nan Davis not Elvira A. (as shown on 1880census) I'm trying to trace backward on John B. Pittman and Elvira Davis Pittman from 1880 in hopes of possibly finding where they came from, parents, siblings, etc. Their first child was Joseph B. Pittman bornabout 1869 so I'm assuming they married that year or shortly before. Any help you can provide is greatly apprecited.
