Margaret Amanda Worthington Kersh was my great grandmother. She married Capt. John Benton Fondren. Their daughter, Mary Katherine Fondren, married William Thomas Reaves. Their children were Jessie Mae, Willie Lee, Raymond, W. T., Margaret, and Ruth. There is an historic marker in Centreville Alabama commemorating heroics by Margaret Amanda Worthington Kersh Fondren.
