Correction, I have since learned that Walter Jerome Holcombe (my gg-father) was 1 of 10 children to William Glenn Holcombe b 08-1830 in SC died in Jackson Co Al, no date, His 1st being Elizabeth Higgins, Eliz & William married 12-15-1851 in Stone Mtn District. Ga. William's 2nd wife was Nancy Miller b: 1838 in NC, daughter of John Miller. I am trying to learn more of Nancy Miller, b: apx 1838. I was told by my gg-father Walter that his mother, Nancy, was full Cherokee and as a child he remembered his mother tending to the sick in the area as a medicine woman would. She is buried with Willam Glenn Holcombe in Jackson Co Al but I do not know the cemetery. Any help would be most welcome.
