Ed McKinney born in Kentucky married, according to a certificate I have, Rebecca Backnell born in AL. I don't know if this is the only marriage, but it is the only one that I know about.
Their children were listed on my Grandfather's obituary as follows: First my Grandfather, Joseph E. (Quillar) McKinney, John McKinney, Ed McKinney, Fred McKinney, Willie Mae McKinney Russell, Lema McKinney Channell, and Cuba McKinney Burroughs. Most of the children married or lived in AL, but I don't know when they or if their parents moved there.
Joseph Equillar (Quillar, Quiller spelled different on documents) McKinney was born 5/9/1879 d. 3/26/1944 according to his death certificate in Mississippi, married, I believe the second time Minnie P. Bracknell born 11/8/1892 d. 10/9/1936 in Bibb county, AL.
Joseph had at least one child believed by a previous marriage, named Clara Irene (Rene) McKinney marriage unknown and age unknown but would like info on this side of the family.
Joseph and Minnie had the following children: Herbert Bailey McKinney (my Dad), Fred Lloyd McKinney, Henry Lee McKinney and one baby girl that died shortly after birth.
Would like information on this family line of McKinney, Backnell, or Bracknell (also kin to the Deason family line). I seem to be at a stand still at this point but would someone look back in any reference material you have and see if you see any of these names.
