Polly Caddell b.in S.C. 1755 m. 1780 to John Milton (Melton) Glascock,Sr.(b. 1760) who was a clergyman. J.M.Glascock,Sr. was deputy sheriff in Moore Co.NC; moved to GA 1812-15; TN 1816; to Bibb Co., AL by 1820 and are in 1830 census. Children I have for them are Thomas, James, Calvin, Martha Patsy, Wm., John M.,Jr; Louza, Benjamin, Samantha. In ALABAMA RECORDS VOL.31 JONES 7 GANDRUD on page 25 lists.... Page 69. August 12, 1823....William Caddell, Clerk of County Court. Bond. Securities: BENJAMIN CADDELL, JAMES GLASCOCK, JOHN LAWHON, LUKE REA, BENJAMIN GRIFFIN, CALVIN GLASCOCK, STEPHEN W. MAPLES. (Are these men related?)I think Polly had brothers to come on to Bibb and Tuscaloosa Counties. I think Stephen Caddell b. 1861 S.C. is a brother(his son Stephen,Jr. moved on to Marion Co. where several of Polly Glascock's children had moved) and that Polly also had a brother Benjamin Caddell. Can anyone help with this Caddell (also spelled Caudle) family?
