Sermantha Glascock,( dau. of Dicey Martin/John M. Glascock of Bibb Co.,AL m. William A. Terrell ( son of Permelia Mozley m. George Washington Terrell).
I think Sermantha/Wm.A.(Bill)Terrell were likely married in Bibb Co. abt. 1845. Their son Thomas W. Terrell (who served with 26th AL CSA) was listed as having been born in 1846 in Shelby Co.,AL
Does anyone know any more about this Mozley/Terrell family. George Washington Terrell/Permelia Mozley as well as Dicey Martin/John M. Glascock, Sermantha and Wm. A. Terrell were in Marion Co. by the Census of 1850. G.W. Terrell's brother John Dabney Terrell, Sr. had come to Marion Co., AL as Territorial Judge in 1819. His younger brother Wm. H. Terrell had come to Tuscaloosa Co., AL as Territorial Judge at about the same time. I find no record of G.W. Terrell/Permelia Mozley until Marion Co.,1850, but think they were probably living in Bibb or Shelby Co. because of the marriage of Sermantha and Bill---- and Thomas having been born in Shelby Co.
I would appreciate any information on the above families.
