Sharon
Not sure if you are still researching or not. I am trying to research this Long family:
1880 U. S. FEDERAL CENSUS
BARBOUR COUNTY, ALABAMA
JUNE 1880
IMAGE 53

GEORGE LONG, WHITE, MALE, 35, ( 1845 ) FARMER. ALABAMA. NORTH CAROLINA. NORTH CAROLINA
MARY. WIFE. 27 ( 1853 ) KEEPING HOUSE. ALABAMA. GEORGIA. GEORGIA.
THOMAS. SON. 11 ( 1869 ) LABORER ON FARM. ALABAMA. ALABAMA. ALABAMA.
GEORGE. SON. 9 ( 1871 ) ALABAMA. ALABAMA. ALABAMA.
FRANK. SON. 5 ( 1875 ). ALABAMA. ALABAMA. ALABAMA.
MILTON. SON. 2 ( 1878 ). ALABAMA. ALABAMA. ALABAMA.

I think maybe George Long listed as son may be the same George Long who married Mittie Iola Robinson.
George W. Long & Mittie Iola Robinson had 12 children all believed to have been born in Jackson County, Florida.

Lena Long, Fred Robinson Long, George WashingtonJr Long, J. R. Long, Fannie Long, Allie Long, Melvin Long, Hazel M. Long, Corine Long, Price Long, Riall ? Long and Othal ? Long.

Hope to hear from you.
