According to my research Matilda J Powell born 1843 was the daughter of David and Eady Powell from Barbour County Alabama. Matilda married Joel D Stokes 22 July 1860. Matilda and Joel Stokes had a daughter Martha Ann or Mary Ann Elizabeth Stokes born 1862. The daughter married John Jefferson Davis Ivey 16 Dec 1889. Can anyone verify any of this information. If I could be sure that Martha Ann and Mary Ann are the same person in the two places where I found her name it would help me prove or disprove my information. Any help is welcome.
