Have you considered the family of John S. Jay - age 52- SC, which was living in Monroe County, AL in 1870 ?

They were # 153 in Beat 2 - Dennard's Bluff P.O., and among the seven children listed was an Ann Jay - age 24 . The mother was Eliza - age 48 - AL ..

In 1850, this family was living in Covington County, AL ..

Good luck,

Bill Huggins
