Hi, Buddy, I have discovered that not only were your Jackson and my Martin Hinson were brothers-in-laws, but you were right. They must have joined the service together and served in the same unit. Martin was wounded in the Battle of Cold Harbar which ended his military career. I have alson received information from the National Archives pertaining to his service. It appears there were a number of Hinson's (all related living in Clayton, Barbour Co.) I still have not found out what happended to Martin M. after the war,however.
