John Jackson bn 1787 Mass. He was in Barbour Co. by at least early 1830s. There he married Rhoda Lewis daughter of Charles Lewis and Juliet Trigg Lewis. Rhoda's sister was first wife of B.F. Petty. John may have been in GA before AL-also possible Rhoda was 2nd wife. Possible John related to Adams family. John's children Warren DeCourcy, Stanley, William H. H., Rowena, Jane, Virginia and Glancus. John drown in 1854 while on business trip to New Orleans. Appreciate any clue on his parents in MA.
