Just clearing up loose ends on my family. My GG Grandfather Wilkes/William Merritt is listed on the 1880 Lee County Census with wife Mary and Step daughter Nettie Akridge (Acreage)age 1.
I am trying to figure out how Nettie Akridge came into the picture.
Also, Wilkes Merritt lived/married/died in Mitchell County in the Sale City area and died in 1924.
