Looking for a James "Jim" AKERS who was from KY, VA or WV and was born somewhere between 1829 and 1850. I heard that he traveled between these states for a living, selling livestock. The James Akers I'm seeking should have a son named Wyatt.
I stumbled upon a James Akers from WV who married Eliza Thompson and had children, Amanda b.1890 (married Hamilton Wade Willis), Wyatt, Oscar, Larkin, Rolin Jackson, James Monroe, Elizabeth, Jane Elsie and Emma. Not sure if this is the man I'm looking for or not, but I can find but one reference to this family anywhere. I also have no dates except the birthdate of Amanda.
Can anyone help out? The James I seek could be the biological father of my gr-grandfather, who was born in 1872. HELP!
