I am descended from Asahel Akers who was born in Virginia and died in North Alabama in 1838. I am interested in your Abiah. In the Bible, II Samuel, Joab, Abiah, and Ashael were brothers and nephews of David. I found a Joab in West Tenn. mentioned once. I am just curious and interested. I have no idea who the parents of my Asahel Akers were. He appeared in Alabama in 1818 and died in 1838. Other than that I have no clue. Except, there was a Thomas Akers there at the same time, but he migrated on to Western Kentucky. If you happen to have any info that would lead me toward Asahel's parents, I would appreciate it.
