I recently found in a junk box at auction a letter from Beryl Ackerman of Roseland, NJ dated 1940. It contains some information that might be helpful for someone researching this family. There are also 2 photographs. One is a school picture of her son, David, 1938-1939. The other is a picture of the memorial to her husband, Philmore E. Ackerman, Senior Forest Ranger at the Kane Experimental Forest, June 1932 - Jan. 1939. Please contact me if you would like to have this letter and photographs.
