Basset L. Peters was married to Miss Fanny Ackerman, March 241853. She was born October 7, 1832 newar Harrisburg, PA. She was the second daughter of 11 children born to David and Catharine(Auverter) Ackerman.They owned the greater part of the land that North Baltimore was built upon. They furnished the material for the first school house.
They named the town but it should have been called Petersville since he supplied the town with every possible need. He was the first B & O agent.
