I just discovered a bit more information that may assist someone in finding out if they are related to us or can point us in the right direction.
My grandfather, Emery, had more siblings... Paul, William, Mary Ruth were also his siblings. Jesse, their 1/2 brother, was Jesse Edwin Aker, and was likely named after his father, possibly Edwin. Jesse had a half sister by mother, whose name was Thelma who later married within the family.
The Aker children were born in Trenton TN and one of them had a son who moved to Memphis and gave Elvis Presley his last hair cut before going into the military.
