HI. I found some Akeman info. for us from a forum on the net about the Akeman family. I have a snail addy to write to this person and see what she knows and how she can help us. So thought i would send this to you:
She had listed these names but no dates and that was all;
George Akeman married Jane McMullen
George A. Akeman married Mary Ann Patton
Jacob Akeman married Patson Watson
Polly Akeman married John Hoover
Phebe Akeman married 1: Richard Mays
married 2; Simon Mennech
married 3; Butler Stonestreet
Phoebe Akeman married Jared Francis Williams
JOhn Akeman married Mary Polly Milhollin
So i think George signed for Phoebe to marry Jared and they then are siblings and am sure you are right that William Akeman is Phoebe's father. WEll maybe this will help us. Do be in touch.
